VWC Annual Report - 2025

The Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission (VWC) is pleased to announce the release of its 2025 Annual Report. This comprehensive report details the Commission’s activities over the past year, underscoring its commitment to providing a fair, efficient, and transparent workers' compensation system for the Commonwealth.

Key highlights from the 2025 Annual Report include:

  • Top Workplaces Recognition: The Commission was recognized for the fifth consecutive year as a Top Workplace in the Richmond Region and for the fourth consecutive year as a Top Workplace in the USA. Additionally, for the first time, Executive Director Evelyn V. McGill received the Leadership Award in the Midsize Companies category.
  • VWC Website Enhancements: Updates to the VWC website include language translation across all pages, enhanced navigation, and a newly redesigned homepage to improve accessibility and the user experience.
  • Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Efficiency: Through proactive issue facilitation, the ADR team effectively managed over 1,000 complex medical provider claims related to recent legislative amendments, resulting in efficient, collaborative resolutions.
  • Facilities Planning and Partnerships: In partnership with the Department of General Services, the Commission identified a state agency to lease available office space, with anticipated tenant occupancy in 2026.
