Certificate of Workers' Compensation Insurance (Form 61A)
Description
The Insurance Compliance Department of the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission has completed an internal audit of compliance with the requirements as set forth in Code of Virginia §§ 65.2-800 and 58.1-3714. We have updated our current processes to ensure compliance while also improving administrative requirements.
The online filing tool, Certificate of Workers' Compensation Insurance, has been eliminated. Pursuant to Code of Virginia §§ 65.2-800 and 58.1-3714 signed certifications of insurance coverage are to be provided by the contractor to the localities.
Removing an unnecessary reporting tool streamlines the current process and eliminates unnecessary paperwork and administrative requirements.
