The top workplace recognition is based solely on employee feedback collected through a survey administered by Energage, an independent research firm partnered with the Richmond Times-Dispatch. The survey covers a range of topics, including workplace culture, direction and leadership, work-life balance, meaningfulness and appreciation.
Top Workplaces, USA Recognition
This recognition, presented in partnership with USA Today newspaper and the Top Workplaces USA program, highlights organizations that demonstrate exceptional workplace culture, employee engagement, and leadership. Out of more than 240 organizations recognized nationwide, VWC is one of only three government agencies to earn the national distinction for five consecutive years. The Commission ranks in the Midsize Companies category (125-399 employees) for the Top Workplaces.
VWC's Executive Director, Evelyn V. McGill will formally accept the USA award during the USA Today Top Workplaces Conference, to be held April 4–6 in Nashville, Tennessee. During the awards ceremony, Ms. McGill will deliver brief remarks on behalf of the Commission, recognizing the employees whose commitment and collaboration have made this achievement possible.
