Suggestions for 2FA Emails to Attorneys

WebFile does not allow for multiple accounts to have access to an attorney’s cases.

Attorneys who need to send WebFile 2FA emails from their accounts to alternate email addresses may wish to implement rules within their email server or client to automatically forward emails to alternate addresses to access the WebFile Security Code.

  1. A rule can be created for auto-forwarding emails using the From address: notices_no-reply@workcomp.virginia.gov.
  2. A rule can be created for auto-forwarding emails using the Subject: (for example “Identity Verification”)
  3. A rule can be created for auto-forwarding emails using the content: (for example “One-Time Identity Verification Security Code”)
  4. A rule can be created for 1, 2, and 3 above.

If WebFile attorney users are unsure how to create an email rule, they should work with their Information Technology team for assistance.

Attorneys should remember that:

  • Their login and password constitute their signature, regardless of whether they personally use the login and password or delegate that authority to someone else.
  • They are responsible for safeguarding and protecting their login and password at all times.
